Anastrozole is a powerful substitute for other anti-aromatase inhibitors like Nolvadex and Clomid. It is the most preferred aromatase suppressor by athletes for prevention of estrogenic and androgenic side effects such as bloating and gynecomastia. This anti-estrogen is mostly added to cycles which include large amounts of aromatizing steroids in order to prevent gynecomastia and other undesirable side effects. Unlike other drugs in its class, Anastrozole does not come with aminoglutethimide related side effects yet it can still achieve even better and high estrogen inhibition than Cytraden. In order to determine the correct dosage, it is necessary to get a blood analysis and analysis of your oral fluids after the first one week of use.
What differentiates Anastrozole from other anti-estrogens is that it has a unique and better mechanism of action different from most drugs. Anastrozole achieves its effects through action-blocking of the transformation of steroids with aromatization to estrogen. This is different and better than the freezing of estrogen receptors in some tissues and their activation in other tissues mechanism of action which is common with the majority of other aromatase inhibitors (like clomiphene (Clomid) and tamoxifen (Nolvadex)).
Although Anastrozole might not have very distinct or unique benefits, its efficacy and potency are definitely higher and better than most other similar drugs. For instance, taking just 0,5 mg of Anastrozole per day is enough to produce the desired effects if the doses of Testosterone are moderate. This dose can even be too much in some cases. It is not that necessary to couple Anastrozole with Clomid but a slightly positive effect might be obtained from the two.
Anastrozole is be administered in tablet form. The recommended dosage for athletic use is 5 mg to 1 mg every other day or 25 mg to 1 mg every day. Anastrozole is FDA approved for use during a therapeutic treatment of breast cancer in women who are past menopause with cancer progression following tamoxifen treatment.
Whilst Anastrozole doesn’t have any contraindications, if you have hypersensitivity you should immediately stop taking Anastrozole and consult your physician. The most common side effects associated with Anastrozole are diarrhea, headache, hot flashes, dizziness, shortness of breath, skin rash, pain in the bones, abdominal pain, over sweating, weakness, and dried mouth. Rare side effects include gaining weight, fever, vaginal hemorrhage, itching, aching breasts, chills, and fatigue.
In the case of adverse side effects or intoxication, you should reach out to your physician or the nearest poison control center.
